Plot[]
One day, during one of Sleepy Bird's day after day, night after night sleeps, an egg that she laid starts to take a life of its own and falls out of the tree. Pocoyo comes walking by and mistakes the egg for a ball. Curious, he takes the egg to Pato to play with it. The Narrator gets them to stop messing with the egg, saying that it is not a ball.
Suddenly, the egg starts moving around as the Narrator says that if Sleepy Bird wakes up, she will be very worried about her missing egg. The egg gets away from Pocoyo and Pato and the two chase it. When Pato gets Pocoyo to stop running, the egg stops too, giving the latter time to catch it. The boys try to get Sleepy Bird to wake up to get her egg, but their calling is not loud enough for her to hear.
Pocoyo and Pato try getting up the tree to put the egg back in the nest, but Pato is not tall enough to raise Pocoyo up to the tree. Luckily, Elly comes by in the nick of time and offers to help. She then uses her trunk and manages to get high enough to move the egg back into the nest, underneath Sleepy Bird.
As the Narrator tells them that is where a bird's egg belongs, the three dance to celebrate. The Narrator is about to do his usual "Hooray for Pocoyo!" sign off when the egg starts to hatch, waking up Sleepy Bird. Luckily, this waking up does not upset her as she then tells Elly to bring the nest down, and lets Pocoyo, Pato, and Elly watch the egg hatch. The egg then hatches, revealing a Baby Bird, which the Narrator describes as "a little Sleepy Bird". The little bird hops onto his mother's head as she goes back into her nest. The baby bird is revealed to be a polar opposite of his mother, a free-spirited, awake, and energetic little bird as the Narrator rebuttals his words as "or a little not-so Sleepy Bird" and welcomes the little bird to Pocoyo's World.
